Matthew Lipman is the founder and leader of Mogul Accounting. After graduating from Concordia’s John Molson School of Business Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in accounting in 2014, Matthew went on to complete his Graduate degree in Chartered Accounting and obtained his CPA designation in 2016. He then completed the three-year In-Depth Tax Course offered by CPA Canada in 2018.
Matthew worked for one of the world’s largest accounting firms for just over 4 years, specializing in REIT corporate taxes. He transitioned to a boutique firm specializing in serving clients within the Real Estate industry. There, his rapid ascent to leadership positions culminated in his partnership within the firm.
Matthew left his old firm and founded Mogul CPA in 2023.
Brent is a CPA, CA with over a decade of experience in both public and private accounting. After earning his degree from Brock University, Brent began his career in public practice, where he spent eight years advising clients on tax, assurance, and financial reporting. He later transitioned into private accounting and consulting, where he has supported organizations across the U.S. and Canada with tax compliance, financial strategy, and business advisory services. Brent joined Mogul CPA in 2025.
Karen is a CPA and Chartered Business Valuator with over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and management consulting. She has operated a CPA public practice and worked extensively with clients across diverse industries, advising businesses of all sizes on business valuation, corporate finance, and strategic planning.
With over fifteen years of experience working in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting and Tax. She started her career as an Accountant in a real estate company responsible for bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements for management review and statutory submission. She worked in a multinational company as Finance Manager in charge of managing the Accounting team and has successfully led the Finance work stream for various projects related to process and system enhancements. She is highly technical and analytical with a keen eye for details, flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities, and with strong work ethic.
A seasoned Certified Public Accountant with over a decade of experience, including time at a leading auditing firm in the Philippines.
